Quote- Almost all good writing begins with terrible first efforts. You need to start somewhere.
Question- Is there such thing as a good first draft or are all first drafts in need of editing?

Depending on the writer's skill level and how much effort they put in to their first draft, there can be such things as good first drafts. However, I think it's unlikely that a first draft wouldn't need any editing at all. Even the best writers cannot think of every prefect word and phrase to use when they are first writing something. Very skilled writers may be able to produce a very well- written first draft of something, but I think it could always be made better. When people are just getting their ideas down, they usually don’t think as hard about it as when they go back to edit it.
ReplyDeleteComing up with the first draft of a paper can be probably the least stressful thing while writing the paper. During the first draft, you are thinking of ideas about where you want to take this paper. You can make a paper about one thing and then completely change its direction during the first draft. That is the best thing about the first draft because it is "First" of many drafts therefore you can write whatever you want. Do to this you can write just straight nonsense but just know later in other draft you have to make sense of what you are writing.
